According to ancient myth, the aster flower is the herb of Venus, the fiery goddess of love; the name aster is derived from the latin astrum, meaning star. The Aster gown, similarly, brings together threads of romance with a fizzy femininity. It starts at the very top: detachable puff sleeves attached under a ⅜ inch straps give way to an elegant sweetheart neckline with an accentuated curve and a sheer back, all rendered in Aster painted tulle. The full circle skirt, with an 80 inch train, comprises 2 layers of tulle overlaid with one light layer of Aster’s namesake tulle, and is punctuated with a side slit. And Aster is lined, from head to toe, in comfortable off-white midori. We believe a woman’s choices should never be limited by the size she wears. Like all Truvelle designs, Aster is also available in sizes 00-40. To our Aster extended size designs (16+), we added extra boning to the bodice for greater support. We also shaped the waist and hip lines to fit curvier body types. No matter your size, our gowns are designed to make you look and feel your best.
