KYHA is a Melbourne label that Kyha Scott started in 2011 after a frustrating hunt for her own wedding dress, because she was tired of tulle and ball gowns and could not find anything that matched her minimalist taste. She has no formal design training and says her ideas come from travel, architecture, art and, most often, water and nature. The look is sleek and sculpted, built on fit, luxe fabrics like duchess satin and silk crepe, and a deliberate blur between fashion and bridal. There are flagships in Melbourne, Sydney and New York, and since 2016 a second line, Chosen by KYHA, has offered made-to-size gowns for a wider audience. Most dresses in our catalog fall between about $4,300 and $8,000, with a median near $5,700.
