Jane Hill grew up in Sassafras, Victoria, studied pattern making and dressmaking at Box Hill TAFE, and worked as a pattern maker in Adelaide before she began making wedding dresses from home and opened her first Melbourne bridal studio in 1990. She passed away in 2013, and the brand is now run by her daughters Jasmine and Bella, with a Melbourne flagship showroom and gowns stocked in more than 100 stores worldwide. The look is clean and structured but not stiff, with sleek silhouettes, bold lace and couture-style tailoring, from corset gowns to minimal crepe.
