Heirlome is a New York label from designer Stephanie Suberville and her husband Jeffrey Axford, and it is ready-to-wear rather than a bridal house, so think of it as a source for wedding-weekend and non-traditional dresses. Suberville graduated from Parsons in 2008 as its Womenswear Designer of the Year, then designed at Rag & Bone and Elizabeth and James before going out on her own. Each collection is built around a craft from family-owned workshops in Mexico and Latin America, such as weaving, embroidery, knitting or hand-done prints, then paired with sharp tailoring. The name comes from a Middle English word for an heirloom tool, the idea being that skill is something you hand down. In 2025 Suberville was named a runner-up for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, and dresses here run from roughly $1,500 to $6,600, with a typical one around $2,500.
