Augusta Jones launched in the UK in 1999, when founder Charlotte Leung, a former banker with a Danish mother and a British Chinese father, couldn't find the dresses she wanted for her own bridal boutique in Hong Kong and started making them herself. She named the label after her cat. Since 2019 the brand has been led by New York designer Robert Bullock, who is known for draping, pattern making and fit, and the look is what Leung once called clean lines with a twist. A UK boutique that launched the label said brides can adjust things like the neckline, back and skirt fullness without blowing the budget. Most gowns we see run roughly $2,200 to $3,900, which makes it a more approachable name in the Kleinfeld world.
