Alon Livné for Kleinfeld is the line the Tel Aviv designer makes exclusively for Kleinfeld in New York, so it is a different thing from his own Alon Livné White bridal label. Livné trained at Shenkar College of Art and Design in Tel Aviv, and his work is known for sculptural shapes, bold necklines and cutouts, with a mix of modern techniques and traditional couture sewing. The current Elspeth collection leans softer and more romantic than that reputation suggests, blending Victorian silhouettes with embroidery and a few avant-garde touches.
